SLOC Summer Race Series
The Summer Race Series events are provided for people to hone their skills and push their envelope, having fun and possibly gaining bragging rights in the process. The courses will be perfectly suitable for people who are not in ‘race mode’, however. They will be at the traditional summer venues, at closer-in city parks without thick undergrowth and ticks. The courses will be designed to promote quick decision making and route finding skills.
So people will have a chance to compare their performance to others of similar ability, there will be male and female age groups within an intermediate and advanced division. The scoring for each event will be 50 for first place, 40 for second and so on. The best 3 out of 4 meet results will be used for scoring purposes. AND we will have an awards ceremony at the last race of the series! So come on out this summer, race or just enjoy the courses at your own pace and have fun!
